South Indians on the Plantation Frontier in Malaya
---
Ravindra K. Jain
This detailed study does not directly take a broad look at the situations of people of Indian origin in Malaya, but rather concentrates on the life of the inhabitants of one particular plantation in Negeri Sembilan. Although his study concentrates mainly on how such immigrants and their descendants interact with each other, the book also takes into account the changing environment outside the estate and how his subjects did, or did not adapt.
