Southern Thailand and Northern Malaysia have a history of being a colonialist's plaything for several centuries. At times these predominantly Malay areas would be part of Siam/Thailand, at others they might have periods of independence or be part of British Malaya. In this book a Malaysian documentary maker visits Patani, a part of this area where armed resistance to the Thai Government still exists, to get in touch with fellow Malays. The resulting documentary was banned but is included as a CD with this book. Good Paperback. First Edition. 116 pages.
