There are two main parts of the book, looking at how Muslims live in Bangkok, where they are a distinct minority and in Patani state where they are a majority. In doing so he demonstrates that Thai Muslims are not as homogeneous an entity as many Thais believe. 200 pages with a glossary, notes, a bibliography and an index.
