The authors not only celebrate 250 years since the first successful growing of a flowering orchid, Phaius tankervilleae, in England, but also introduce the reader to other members of the Phaius family of orchids. The purpose of the book is to encourage orchid growers to experiment with this species which has been successfully hybridised in many parts of the world.
