This appears to be the second annual report of the Federation of Malaya which was established in 1948, consisting of nine Malay states together with Melaka and Penang. The report is in two parts, the first covering activities of various Government departments, followed by a short description of the country's history, weights and measures used, newspapers and periodicals then current and a suggested reading list. 225 pages with about 20 black and white plates and various tables.
