The Heart of Malaya
The author, a freelance writer, wrote several books that attempted to introduce the reader to the 'real' nature of a range of different countries. In this one he tackles Malaysia in its early years just after independence. His book has been fairly popular since it was first published as he makes a strong case that the country belongs "to all who have staked their claim in her" since most of its inhabitants other than the truly indigenous peoples of the peninsula and Borneo are comparatively recent immigrants. 221 pages with an index, some black and white photographs and a map.

Condition: Very Good. Hardback in a similar dust jacket. The dust jacket has minor rubbing and is a little dirty in places. The binding is tight and the text clear with very mild tanning throughout. A very nice clean copy
