It follows the life of Bebe a woman trapped by the prejudices which were not only threatened generally by increasing Westernisation and particularly by the upheavals of the War, the 'Emergency' and then independence. Condition : The cover has some rubbing around the edges and there is a crease along the spine. The tanned half title page is detached. The text block is tanned. Otherwise the binding is tight and there is minimal tanning throughout.
