Ngaju Religion: The Conception of God Among A South Borneo People
Schärer lived among the Ngaju people between 1932 and 1939 as a missionary and again as an anthropologist briefly before his sudden death in 1947. In the course of his work he collected a significant amount of material on their traditional religion. The work is important as it records their supernatural beliefs before most of the Ngaju people were converted to Christianity. Good Hardback.
