H.F. Tillema

This is the first English translation of Tillema's monumental work 'Apo-Kajan: Een Filmreis naar en door Centraal-Borneo' first published in 1938. It is a photographic essay of his visit to The Apo Kayan, a remote forested area in East Kalimantan, adjoining the Malaysian border. The purpose of the visit between 1931 and 1933 was to document the lives of the Kenyah and Kayan peoples there before before their lives changed for ever. 251 pages. Very Good Paperback Reprint.
