A Study of Singapore's Public Housing
---
Ching-Ling Tai
Since its founding as a city state Singapore has been the setting for a Government driven housing policy centred on high-rise living. In this work the author reviews the current literature on government housing policy and relocation, examines the policies that have been implemented in Singapore and, finally, looks at the effect on the new residents of the tower blocks. The latter part of the book is based on field work amongst 1,200 families and an in-depth study of 27 relocated families. 323 pages. For further details, please see the scanned contents page.
