An unabridged reprint of both volumes of Cordiner's classic work on the British maritime possessions in Ceylon at the beginning of the 19th century. Cordiner was the first principal of all schools on the island and the first Church of England clergyman to live and preach in Ceylon. During his five years in the country, he toured the country extensively noting the manners and customs of the different residents of the island. Good Paperback in a Good Dust Jacket Reprint.
