Tropical Planting and Gardening
---
H. F. MacMillan
This work was the tropical gardener's 'bible' for the first part of the twentieth century. Originally published in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1910, the book's authority was bolstered by the author's thirty year experience running the country's main botanical gardens. This edition, revised by HS Barlow, I Enoch and RA Russell, is the first time the book had been updated since World War II and, as it was published in Malaysia, includes not only information about plants that do not grow in Sri Lanka, but also a wealth of updated information on the species generally. Very Good Hardback. 6th Edition. 767 pages including reproductions of the original black and white plates, an updated bibliography and indices of Common and Scientific Names and a general index.
