The Malay Language and How to Learn It
Although the author may not be related to the better known Malay language authority, William Edward Maxwell, he does have a road in Ipoh, Perak, named after him. After a forty year service in Malaya he authored this unusual language manual, in that it is not a comprehensive grammar or phrase book, but rather a perambulation around the language, dispensing tips on learning en route. The book was probably quite popular at the time since this book is its second printing. 94 pages. For further details, please see the scanned contents page.
