The purpose of the review was to make a survey of the ports of the Malay peninsula and Singapore following World War II. The author was the UK Ministry of Transport Representative in the Far East. The report was comprehensive looking at the history of the major ports, their current state and possibilities for development with nine fold out maps of Malaya and the major ports of Singapore, Penang, Port Swettenham and Malacca and figures. Condition: The spine is worn and rubbed and there is some lettering on the front cover. This copy was previously owned by AHS Reid, Secretary to the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the Federation of Malaya and his name and address are on a front end paper. The binding is tight, text clear and there is very mild tanning throughout.
