Malaysian Policies in South-East Asia, 1957-1970:
The Search for Security

---

Guat Hoon Khaw

This work was originally presented as a thesis by the author while attending the University of Geneva. Although through much of this period Malaya, and later Malaysia, looked inwards to deal with the security threat of the Communist insurgency, this focus also governed its relations with its neighbours, particularly Thailand and came to frame the Government's generally ant-Communist stance in the area, for example its support for Saigon in the war in Vietnam. Khaw then concludes the book by looking at the security threats produced by the formation of Malaysia in 1963, particularly from its neighbours, Indonesia and the Philippines. Very Good Paperback. First Edition. 323 pages with notes on sources and an index.
