Malay Politics in Sarawak, 1946-1966
Sanib Said
This is one of the first books that attempts to chart the political emergence of the Malay community between the end of the rule of the Brooke family through to the merging of the state with the Malaysian Union. The community, like many others, was not unanimously enthusiastic about joining the union, although it eventually licked its wounds picked up from internal splits and united in the Parti Bumiputera to accept the new nation state. Very Good Hardback. First Edition. 166 pages.
