Maryati Mohamed, Atsuko Takano, Benoit Goossens & Rajah Indran (eds)
This book publicises the results of research carried out by the Universiti Sabah Malaysia in the Lower Kinabatangan flood pain, adjoining Malaysia's second longest river. The area, with limestone caves at Gomantong hill, dryland dipterocarp forests, riverine forest, freshwater swamp forest, oxbow lakes and salty mangrove swamps, is considered by some to be the best place to view wildlife in Southeast Asia. The expedition documents the flora and fauna identified in the course of the expedition including the physical environment which is now heavily polluted. 164 pages.
