---
Ross Ibbotson & Stella Moo-Tan (eds)
This book is based on a manuscript recording the experiences of a British customs official appointed to serve on the Bornean island of Labuan in the immediate aftermath of World War Two. Knowles records the slow transformation of the island and his difficulties in both carrying out his job and caring for his young family. He was a keen photographer. So the book is illustrated with 67 of his black and white photographs. New Hardback in a New Dust Jacket. First Edition. 109 pages.
