This book deals mainly with raids carried out by Australian forces behind Japanese lines in Singapore in 1941 and the folowing year. The main purpose was to disrupt Japanese shipping in Singapore harbour. Most of those who took part in the operations were killed, but with the help of newly released records and a British intelligence officer associated with the raids, the author has managed to compile the most comprehensive record to date of these daring attempts to disrupt the Japanese war effort. 464 pages including monotone pictures and drawings throughout the book, epilogue, appendices, burial and commomeration roll, reference and explanatory notes, bibliography, list of illustrations and index. Weight 1.3 kg.
