Coastal Resources of East Coast Peninsular Malaysia:
An Assessment in Relation to Potential Oil Spills
Edited by
Chuah Thia-Eng & Joseph K. Charles
This study was published at a stage when Malaysians were beginning to realise that although the oil exploration boom was bringing them increased wealth and a higher standard of living, the marine environment was suffering as well. With oil company funding a team of Malaysian and foreign biologists carried out a two year study to determine the current state of the marine life and what, if anything, could be done to protect it. The results of which are published in this book. 306 pages. Chapters include -
