A Journal in the Federal Capital
George L Peet
Peet arrived in Kuala Lumpur, as the Straits Times' first correspondent stationed in the city, when the Federal Capital was barely half a century old. Within living memory, the new city had been a Chinese mining village. However, as this personal selection of his articles for the paper demonstrates, Peet's remit stretched throughout the peninsula as it came to grips with being an important part of the British imperial domain. 175 pages.
