In this Biography, Morais charts the career of probably the best known Malayan trade unionist in the mid 20th century. He was a founding member of the National Union of Plantation Workers immediately after World War II and went on to head the Malayan Trades Union Council at the age of 27. He was also president of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions for twenty years. With a foreword by Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaya's first prime minister. Condition: The book has been rebound in leather and leatherette with gilt titling on the spine and the cover shows minimal wear. The text block has medium tanning. Otherwise The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is very mild tanning throughout, but about half a dozen page edges at the beginning and end of the book have mild tanning.
