This trend has accelerated in East Asia because middle class women , with a greater access to higher education, more frequently than their mothers, do not consider marriage to be one of their life goals. So more men from countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan are turning to Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to find their brides.
