Travels in Siam, Cambodia and Laos 1858-1860
Originally published in 1864, this book opened the eyes of the West to the treasures of the Khmer civilisation and Angkor Wat. The book is based on journals and sketches of Mouhot's travels in Indochina. It is one of the more enjoyable travel books of the period because of Mouhot's spirit of adventure and unquenchable curiosity. Very Good Hardback. Reprint. 300 pages with several black and white plates of Mouhot's sketches and a fold out map.
