The Rise and Fall of Communism in Sarawak, 1940-1990
-
Vernon L Porritt
Most of what has been written about communism in Malaya, subsequently Malaysia, has been focussed on insurgent activity on the peninsula. In this book Porritt details the history of a sister movement in Sarawak, which, like the mainland movement, started in the 1940s in the disaffected Chinese community. The Sarawak communists continued to cause a headache for another 30 years following Sarawak joining the Federation of Malaysia in 1963 . Very Good Paperback. First Edition. 355 pages with a map, bibliography, index and some black and white photographs.
