The Pagan Races of the Malay Peninsula -
William Walter Skeat & Charles Otto Blagden
This 1966 reprint of the original 1906 edition probably is still able to claim to be the most comprehensive review of Orang Asli, or aborigine people, in Peninsula Malaysia that has been written. The work comprehensively brings together the writings of other mainly European writers supplemented by the field work of the authors, two of the most experienced ethnographers of their time. The whole work is broken down into four parts
724 and 855 pages with numerous black and white photographs.

Condition: This is a very handsome set except for the ex-library markings, which are few, i.e. labels on the spines and on the inside back covers and stamps on the text block and an unobtrusive stamp on one of the first pages in each volume. Otherwise the covers have minor wear and the binding is tight, the text is clear and there is barely noticeable tanning throughout.
