Tales of a Shaman:
Jah Hut Myths
Duncan Holaday & Others
In 1970 the author was welcomed into the home of Batin Long bin Hok, the headman and shaman of a Jah Hut aboriginal community in Pahang. Over many hours Holaday carefully recorded the community's myths and practices, from which Batin Long bin Hok made the selection for this book as a faithful representation of the Jah Hut beliefs and values. The four stories are in both a transliteration of the Jah Hut language and in English. Very Good Hardback. First Edition. 115 pages.
