This is a detailed study of the plight of part-aborigines, those of mixed race, in Australia. At the time of writing they tended to live on the outskirts or in poorer parts of towns, marginalised by the majority white community. Rowley argues that their plight needs to be addressed urgently not only to treat them a full Australians, but also because they were the fastest growing section of the population at the time. 472 pages with an index.
