Noone of the Ulu
-
Dennis Holman
The book is an account of the work of Pat Noone and subsequently his brother, Richard, amongst the Temiar people of Malaya. At the time Pat went to live with them and found a bride amongst them before World War II little was known about this group of Orang Asli (Indigenous People.) Pat disappeared mysteriously while living with the Temiar, so when Richard was given the task of weaning the tribes away from the Communist insurgents, he hoped he would also be able to find what happened to his brother.
