Malayan Animal Life
by
MWF Tweedie & JL Harrison
This book is a handy introduction to anyone wanting to quickly find their way around the abundant species of wildlife on the Malaysian peninsula. The only complaint a modern reader might have is that the book's photographs are in black and white. However this is more than compensated for by the book's comprehensive and informed, yet accessible, text and an abundance of detailed line drawings. The 237 pages have chapters on mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fresh and sea water fish, insects, animals of the sea shore and other invertebrates as well as a glossary of Malay names.
