Green Beret, Red Star
This is the author's account of his experience of serving with The Royal Marine Commandos in Malay during the "Emergency.' The title refers to the commandos' green beret and the guerillas' red star on their caps. The book was written to demonstrate to the folks back home the trying conditions in which their countrymen found themselves when this type of jungle warfare was still quite novel. The author also details Malayans' contribution to the war effort, but he does not view the Chinese community, 'sitting on the fence,' in a favourable light. Very Good Hardback in a Good Dust Jacket.
