This is an account of the wartime experiences of a Dutch man who came out to Malaya as a rubber planter, took part in the defence of Malaya against the Japanese and then was involved in the defence of the Netherlands Indies before being taken prisoner. His story concludes with his period working on the Burma-Thai railway, the return to Malaya of the Allies and his eventual return to the Netherlands. 137 pages with an index and a few black and white photographs.
