An interesting little book that gives an insight into life in Malaya a decade after the end of World War II when it was on the brink of independence. The book is based on a series of radio talks given by the author explaining from what made Malaya tick, 'explaining those things which go on quietly' that make up national life, but the reader may know little about. Topics include local and national government, the law, trade, agriculture, sport etc. Good Soft back. Second Edition. 160 pages with several black and white plates
