This book was conceived while both authors, each of whom had published separately on Asian and Malaysian demographics, worked together at the University of Malaysia. What inspired their study was the fact that three of the four major ethnic-cultural blocs of Asia live in the country in significant numbers. Their research demonstrates how these groups function in a country 'for them to co-exist, meeting, but not mingling, touching but not inter marrying.' 282 pages.
