The book is in two parts - firstly on Drama followed by his writings on the development of the Malay language. 479 pages with an appendix listing Malay newspapers published between 1876 and 1939 and a glossary.

Condition Very:Good. Hardback in a Good dust jacket. The dust jacket, now protected in a plastic cover, is rubbed around the edges and has a few tears. A previous owner's name is written neatly on a front end paper. There are very occasional notes in pencil in the margins and even fewer neat markings in biro. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is minimal tanning throughout.
