Kinabalu Guerrillas -

An Account of the Double Tenth 1934

---

Maxwell Hall

Although several accounts have been written about the  ill prepared British defences against the Japanese invasion of Malaya, less has been heard about the situation in North Borneo, now Sabah, where local officials were told not to offer any resistance at all. As a result the Japanese takeover from 1st January 1942 onwards was accomplished with few casualties. However resistance to the occupation soon grew. This book tells the story of Albert Kwok and his companions and their exploits in undermining Japanese rule. (The sub-title is transcribed from the book and contains an obvious printer's error. The date should be 1943 and not 1934.) 175 pages with line drawings and a map.
